Raised on Vancouver Island, BC, I have travelled extensively and lived in cities including Vancouver, Montreal, Seoul, Copenhagen, London, and Oxford, Mississippi. After completing my PhD at McGill University, I joined the Department of English at the University of Mississippi, where I reached the rank of Associate Professor before returning to Vancouver Island to take up a position with Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada.
